MEE 354 - Advanced Material Behavior, Testing, and Processing This course will cover a breadth of topics that are broadly characterized as advanced thermo-mechanical behavior/testing, advanced materials, and laser processing. Advanced thermo-mechanical behavior will cover topics such as elasticity, viscoelasticity, nonlinear elasticity, plasticity, and creep. Advanced materials will cover topics such as shape memory alloys, bio-inspired polymers, auxetic structures, and smart composites. Laser processing will cover topics such as fundamentals of laser-matter interaction, thermal impacts, thermo-mechanical impacts, micro- and nano-processing, and laser ablation tomography.
Prerequisite(s): MEE 251 , MEE 260 . Co-requisite(s): Credits: 3
