NUR 674 - Advanced Practice Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing I

This is the first of three sequential theory courses in the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner concentration. The focus of this course is to examine the theoretical and evidenced-based practice foundations of advanced practice psychiatric nursing with adults. Specific emphasis is on therapeutic communication and management of persons with psychiatric mental health conditions.

Prerequisite(s): BIO 545, NUR 601 (or concurrent), NUR 602 (or concurrent), NUR 671, NUR 672, and NUR 680.
