SPY 611 - Introduction to School Psychology This course provides an orientation to the profession of school psychology and PK-12 schools. This introductory course explores the historical foundations of the profession of school psychology, the professional practice model endorsed by the National Association of School Psychologists, varied school psychology service models, and professional credentialing standards. This course also examines organizational theory as it relates to education; general and special education systems, laws, and policies; and best practices to promote inclusive and accessible school environments.
Prerequisite(s): Matriculation in the MS in Educational Psychology (School Psychology Concentration) or PsyD in School Psychology Program, or with program permission Co-requisite(s): Credits: 3
