CHY 371 - Quantum Chemistry

Principles of theoretical chemistry: quantum mechanics and spectroscopy. Topics include: quantization of translational, rotational, vibrational, and electronic energy; hydrogen orbitals; variational method and perturbation theory; multielectron atoms; chemical bonding; group theory; spectroscopy; and introductory statistical mechanics.

Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in CHY 115, MAT 153 (or concurrent), and PHY 123.
