SBS 447 - Internship This course integrates field-based professional experience with a directed, reflective, and academic component. While working at their field site of choice, students participate in an online seminar in which they learn about and reflect on workplace issues, evaluate their interests, and acquire basic skills needed to market themselves effectively. This course provides valuable real-world experience in your chosen field.
Of note:
It is suggested that you meet with your faculty advisor to discuss your internship options once you reach 84 cumulative credits.
Students wishing to take more than 3 credits must have faculty advisor permission.
This is a self-directed course and requires at least TWO MONTHS of PRE-PLANNING as reflected in the submission to the SBS 447 Brightspace page of your updated resume and Learning Contract: Part 1 BEFORE the first day of class.
Job skills such as interviewing/resumes are an expected part of the internship site search.
Prerequisite(s): Must be LOS, NAS, or SBS major who has successfully completed at least 84 credits. Co-requisite(s): Credits: 3-6
