PHI 241 - Philosophy & the Politics of Work


This course is an examination of work that is situated at the intersection of personal identity and social structure. Philosophical perspectives on work and labor from such writers as Plato, Aristotle, Locke, Smith, Hegel, Marx, and Arendt will be examined. Work in contemporary society will be examined through sociology, economics, and politics.
