EDU 509 - Child and Adolescent Development for Equitable Education An introduction to theories of child and adolescent development as they concern teaching young learners in diverse classrooms. Students will draw on research in neuroscience, biology, social psychology, and other fields that focus on learning to critically examine how learning can be facilitated equitably in classroom communities. The course will address school-family interactions, trauma-informed practice, socio-emotional learning, and other issues of human development in schools.
