ENG 308 - Writing Center Practicum This practicum enables new Writing Assistants to aid fellow student writers at the University of Southern Maine’s Writing Center. This course introduces both undergraduate and graduate tutors to writing center research, theory, and practice. Guided by contemporary pedagogical frameworks that influence writing center work, students learn to collaborate with USM students across academic disciplines and written genres.
Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in this course is only available to new Writing Assistants, who must have completed a minimum of three writing-intensive courses at the time of hire, including ENG 100 or ENG 101 and ENG 102 or their equivalents: HON 100 and HON 215 . Co-requisite(s): Credits: 0-1
