SBS 370 - Toward a Global Ethics This writing intensive course assists students in articulating and assessing their own values. It examines the range of ethical theories and positions and explores the influence of particular cultural ideologies on ethical beliefs. The course considers the ethical principles implied by democracy, sustainability, justice, and difference. It examines ethical issues and dilemmas faced by individuals, organizations, and nations while exploring personal and collective decision-making processes in a global context.
Prerequisite(s): WRI 1 or equivalent for all students; for students admitted fall 2021 or later: any approved WRI2 course (may be concurrent), or non-degree students; OR permission. If you were admitted before Fall 21 or are a non-degree seeking student, please contact the academic department offering this course or the Office of Registration and Scheduling Services to enroll. You will not need to satisfy the WRI 2 requirement, but you must meet all other prerequisites attached to the course or seek instructor permission. Co-requisite(s): Credits: 3
