HRD 631 - The Adult Learner This course examines the social, psychological, economic, and cultural situation of the variety of adults served by adult education programs today. The aim of the course is to develop a theory of learning which is applicable to adults in diverse circumstances and with diverse goals, needs, and styles of learning. Attention is given to stages of adult growth, the development of learning goals, learning environments, and to a variety of theories on learning.
