EDU 651 - Instructional Strategies for Secondary Teaching This course explores the historical, philosophical, and political foundations of contemporary secondary schools, pedagogy, and curriculum as a means to understand how instructional and curricular choices are made. It also assists students in developing a repertoire of instructional strategies through modeling, practice, and reflection. Students hone their skill in choosing and using student-centered, thinking-oriented instructional strategies, addressing students’ diverse learning needs through varied learning activities.
Prerequisite(s): Open to matriculated ETEP interns and permission of the Teacher Education Department. Co-requisite(s): Credits: 3
