PPM 553 - Volunteer Engagement and Management


Volunteer engagement and management focuses on the dynamics of volunteerism in nonprofit organizations and in the life of communities. This course exposes students to strategic and comprehensive skills for managing volunteers, and examines definitions, values, and standards as well as what constitutes effective practice in the field of volunteer resources management today. While the course is especially designed for current or future executives and managers of nonprofit organizations and volunteers, it will also benefit others who plan to work with volunteers and those who want to develop their own vision or work on policy in the field of volunteerism.
