BUS 348 - Sustainable Business Practicum

Working on self-directed projects, students carry out a sustainable business auditing project to meet the goals of a partner in the business community. Students will interview small businesses to gather information and data about their business sustainability practices. Students will learn how the general principles of sustainability can be applied in specific business situations. Students will create a best practices case study and Sustainability Action Plan for one business. As part of the course, students are to generate publicity for the school and formally present the results of the project to their external partners. The course emphasizes problem-based learning and the development of professional skills.

Prerequisite(s): BUS 347, junior standing. Majors in the fall 2020 or later catalog must complete the pre-bus core with a min. of a C- or higher before taking any 300/400 Business course. See enrollment policy for eligibility or contact the School of Business.
