The Department of Technology offers a Master of Science (MS) in Cybersecurity which incorporates real-world engagement, cybersecurity theories, and hands-on experiences for a rich educational platform to prepare for a higher level of application and management of solutions in the cybersecurity landscape. Coursework includes experiential learning on cyber ranges, which provides academic and research operations to bring together students and faculty in counterattacking simulated cyber attacks. Students pursuing graduate education will also have opportunities to interact with numerous public and private entities.USM partners with the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) to offer a fully online cybersecurity program that is flexible, affordable, and career-focused.
The MS in Cybersecurity provides learners with advanced skills, knowledge, and abilities to apply immediately once in the workforce. A Certificate of Graduate Study in Cybersecurity is available to professionals who are interested in enhancing their careers but are not yet prepared to fully commit to a Master’s degree program.
