The Certificate in Gerontology is an interdisciplany program designed for adult learners and the current health and human service workforce who are interested in, or are currently working with, older adults. The program will provide students with the competencies to meet the demands of this clinically complex population. 

Program Objectives:

  1. To meet the workforce needs by educating health and human service professional to care for the needs of older adults.
  2. To increase enrollments by expanding educational offerings in Gerontology to include non-matriculated adult learners and the current workforce
  3. To increase access to education by providing on-line and blended courses in Gerontology, meeting the demand of this fast-growing sector in higher education.
