The Nurse Educator Post-Masters Certificate is an online program designed to provide MSN-prepared nurses with the tools needed to educate future and current nurses in an academic setting. Coursework includes educational foundations, instructional methods, program assessment and evaluation, and curriculum development. Course content is then applied in a final practicum course in an academic setting.
This program is 21 credits including 110-220 hours of practicum experience.
Admission Requirements
- Official transcript or transcript evaluation documenting the award of a master’s degree in nursing from an NLN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Unencumbered RN license from the state in which you live and will be conducting your practicum
- Statement of purpose
- Must have two years of clinical experience as an advanced practice nurse. Applicants with less than two years of clinical experience must take an additional practicum course (NUR 661 - Evidence-Based Practice Change in Health Care ).
