Return to: Certificates of Graduate Study
This Certificate of Graduate of Study (CGS) in Teaching and Learning is designed to create a pathway for non-degree seeking students to take the teacher certification courses needed for emergency or conditional certification. They could ideally bring them into a degree-seeking master’s level program. The 12-credit CGS consists of four courses. Three of the courses are required for both K-6 and 6-12 certification with the one additional course chosen for either K-6 or 6-12 certification. The goal of the CGS is to get students started on the track toward certification under the care of an academic or faculty advisor. Up to 50% (two courses) may be transferred in.
