Environmental Recreation Minor

The minor in environmental recreation combines coursework to provide students with an introductory knowledge of ecotourism, outdoor recreation leadership, and nature interpretation. Safe and responsible use of outdoor environments is a prime focus of the minor. Enrollment in the environmental recreation minor can increase student understanding and enjoyment of nature while enhancing future employment opportunities in ecotourism and adventure recreation businesses, wilderness equipment outfitters, or organizations that focus on environmental education.

Program Requirements

Minimum number of credits required for the minor: 19. Note: some courses may have prerequisites. Not all classes are offered every semester.

Students must earn a grade of C- or higher in all courses required for the minor.
