Technology Management, B.S.

The Technology Management degree program prepares individuals to leverage technology as a leader in all industries. Students prepare to plan, direct, organize, and control operations. The program balances knowledge with the skills necessary to lead technical teams. Students may concentrate in many different science, technology, engineering and math focus areas depending on interest (e.g. management of information technology, management of precision manufacturing, management of a science lab). Hands-on application of theory learned in the classroom is an integral part of the program.

Program Requirements


All students must meet University Core Curriculum requirements and additional departmental requirements. Specific requirements for B.S. degree programs offered through the Department of Technology are indicated below. A minimum of 15 credit hours or 5 courses must be taken in the Department of Technology.

Note: Students in the technology management degree program will be required to complete a senior assessment as part of the graduation requirement.

  • Minimum number of credits (exclusive of the University’s Core Curriculum) required for the Technology Management major: 87

  • Minimum grade requirement for major courses listed below: D-

Minimum number of credits required for the degree: 120

Departmental Requirements: Electives


  • Technical or STEM Electives Credits: 24
  • Technical, STEM, or Professional Electives Credits: 12
    • Courses must have ITP, ACC, BUS, LOS, or MIS prefix
  • General Electives Credits: 6
