The certificate in energy sustainability is designed for students and professionals in area industry, consulting, government, and non-governmental organizations. It is designed to develop an individual’s skills in energy sustainability through a combination of class work, field work, and advanced analysis in energy efficiency, production, and life cycle assessment.

Program Requirements

The certificate is awarded after successful completion of the following courses with a minimum grade of C- or higher.

ESP 275 - Energy Use and Societal Adaptation Credits: 3
ESP 311 - Energy Efficiency Credits: 3
ESP 313 - Renewable Energy Credits: 3
ESP 326 /ECO 326 - Environmental Economics Credits: 3
ESP 327 /ECO 327 - Natural Resource Economics Credits: 3
One ESP or other department energy-related course Credits: 3

Matriculated students may be interested in applying for a minor in energy analysis.
