SPM 430 - Exercise Testing, Assessment, and Prescription


This course focuses on knowledge and skills necessary for assessing health-related components of physical fitness. The course will also focus on prescription and design of programs to develop health-related fitness that will be applied in the laboratory setting. A 45-hour field experience is incorporated into the course to provide students with practical application related to course work.

Prerequisite(s): EXS major; junior level standing; grades of C- or higher in SPM 260 , SPM 330 SPM 331 , SPM 381 , and SPM 382 .
