ANT 560 - Public Archaeology This course introduces students to the interpretation of archaeological information for the public benefit. Topics to be covered include museum exhibits, collection management, federal and state legislation, ethics, site conservation database management, and GIS. Students will work in teams to produce a finished product for presentation during Archaeology Awareness Week. The course includes prehistoric excavation and a trip to two museums. Credit varies with specific substantial topics and project breadth. Prerequisite: ANT 103 or permission of instructor. Cr. 3.
