BIO 351 - Invertebrate Zoology This course explores the incredible diversity of invertebrate animals, with a focus on their evolutionary relationships, form, and function. Through lectures, laboratory work, and field observations, students will investigate major invertebrate phyla and examine how these organisms live, move, feed, and adapt to a wide range of environments. Emphasis is placed on current scientific research in invertebrate evolution and phylogeny, with opportunities to study living specimens both in the lab and in their natural habitats. Lecture: three hours per week; laboratory: four hours per week.
Prerequisite(s): Grades of C- or higher in BIO 107 , BIO 108 , and CHY 115 or permission of instructor. Co-requisite(s): Credits: 5
