The University of Southern Maine is proud to serve as an extension unit for the University of New Hampshire Army ROTC Wildcat Batallion, and the University of New Hampshire Air & Space Force ROTC Detachment 475.

ROTC provides students with the opportunity to attend college and train to become an Army Officer at the same time, in exchange for paid tuition. Offered at more than 1,000 colleges and universities, students can get the college experience along with a guaranteed career after graduation as a highly respected second lieutenant in the Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard.

Air Force ROTC develops leaders of tomorrow by preparing students to become officers in the U.S. Air Force while earning a college degree. In AFROTC, students not only will build lifelong friendships, but they also may have the opportunity to pay for school through scholarship programs. Most importantly, AFROTC students have a rewarding career waiting after graduation.
