Electrical Engineering Minor

The minor in electrical engineering is designed for students majoring in other disciplines who desire an exposure to the theory and practice of electrical engineering. The minimum number of credits (exclusive of prerequisites) for the minor is 14. An engineering faculty will be assigned as an advisor to assist with scheduling and to track student progress toward the minor.

Program Requirements (14-15 credits)

Successful completion of the following electrical engineering courses with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0:

ELE 172 - Digital Logic Credits: 3
ELE 179 - Digital Logic Laboratory Credits: 1
ELE 216 - Circuits I: Steady-State Analysis Credits: 3
ELE 217 - Circuits II: System Dynamics Credits: 3
ELE 219 - Circuits Laboratory Credits: 1
One ELE elective of 3 or more credits not otherwise required in the major Credits: 3-4
