The Nurse Educator Post-Masters Certificate is an online program designed to provide MSN-prepared nurses with tools needed to educate future and current nurses in an academic setting. Coursework includes educational foundations, instructional methods, program assessment and evaluation, and curriculum development. Course content is then applied in a final practicum course in an academic setting.

This program totals 21 credits including practicum courses located in the student’s region.

Admission Requirements

  • Official transcript or transcript evaluation documenting the award of a master’s degree in nursing from an NLN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Unencumbered RN license from the state in which you live and will be conducting your practicum
  • Statement of purpose
  • Must have two years of clinical experience in advanced nursing practice
