EDU 310 - Education and Democracy


This course explores the role of public schooling in the United States and world with respect to ethical dimensions of equity and justice. Using a framework of education rights for a democracy, students analyze ethical dilemmas found in texts, videos, and personal stories, engage in multicultural field experiences, and present grounded perspectives in response to issues related to education and democracy. A 12-hour field placement is required for this course.
