ENG 377 - Studies in Nineteenth-Century British Literature and Culture This course explores various topics, including fin de siècle literature and culture; nineteenth-century intellectual history and culture (e.g., Wollstonecraft, John Stuart Mill, Darwin, Marx, Nietzsche, Freud); Victorian poetry and the visual arts; nineteenth-century psychology and culture; contemporary film appropriations of Victorian fiction.
